Rustic Fencing

The oblique angle of the long fence allows for a straight-forward sequencing. The pathway accentuates the angle and meanders into the distance.

Leafy Poplar (1)

Sequencing starts with the feature positioned in the same area as the pale poplar of the wintery season.

Prominent Tree (2)

Positioned half-way along the fencing matches the tall tree covered in green foliage (central)

Towering Poplars (3)

Triangular positioning matches the bare poplars beyond the footbridge.

The depiction of the village buildings with their prominent roof angles and the two figures recall the early paintings at Marlotte:

’Women Going to the Woods’ 1866
